The Secret Life of rxBriefCase

Hi all, just wanted to start this blog with a little bit about myself.

My name is Monica Tran and I'm a fourth year Pharmacy Student at the University of Toronto. As classes have rolled to an end forever, we are now thrown into the "real" world. Well, not yet entirely. For the next full year, we will be on clinical rotations (7 in total).

I have the pleasure of doing my first rotation here at mdBriefCase, focusing on their Pharmacy Continuing Education offerings (rxBriefCase, rxPassport, and the related resource centres that you may be familiar with).

My professional interests include hospital pharmacy, geriatrics, and cardiology, and exploring more throughout the year. I have had experience in both community and hospital pharmacy practice and 3 years of pharmacy therapeutics drilled into my head, so hopefully I'll be able to share some of my insights with you all.

Here at mdBriefCase, I'll be involved in CE program development, critical appraisal, and writing an eNewsletter - watch out for that in the coming weeks! The purpose of this blog is to give you an insight into what happens here at rxBriefCase, through my experiences over the coming week. I'll be sharing what I learn throughout each week, thoughts on our modules from a student's perspective, and anything else in between! Feel free to send me a comment (using the form on the right side) about your thoughts, and what you like, or don't like!
